Tip of the Day 8/2:Huckle-Buckle-Beanstalk

In our first ever Geo-Jargon Monday,we’d like to tell you what “Huckle-Buckle-Beanstalk”is.

Huckle-Buckle-Beanstalk is…

A method of group caching, which takes its name from a classic children’s game. When a member of the group spots the cache, they walk elsewhere (to not give away the cache’s location),then call out,“huckle-buckle-beanstalk!”(or whatever word or phrase the group has decided on). This continues until everyone in the group has either spotted the cacheĀ  or given up,after which the cache is retrieved and logged.

Thanks to Prime Suspect and his GeoLex,the Lexicon for Geocaching, for the use of these fantastic definitions of all things geocaching!

How do you group cache? Comment on this post to share!

That is awesome! Here in South Jersey we use “Coffee”. When one of us spots the cache,we walk away to go “have a cup of coffee”while we wait for the rest of the group to spot it.
