This is a great interview! It's, um... MOSTLY accurate... LOL!!

I do have to hand it to Steve for doing an awesome job of route-planning and all the driving - this record is indeed thanks to his lion's share of the preparation.

I was way too busy jumping in and out of the car to take many photos - maybe a dozen all day? I think all that I took made it to my blog. I posted on Facebook and Twitter simultaneously with Loopt - forgot all about hashtags, though... duh... and only had a chance to do that once every 100 caches as well as the beginning and end of the day.

One important task that Sandy & I both did was to double-check our list as we went to make sure we logged exactly what we'd found and what we'd DNFd. It's very easy to lose count, especially when we're all getting so tired.

I can't echo enough the importance of stamina and attitude! I'd done a few of these 24-hour record attempts before, so one of my jobs, as I saw it, was to help be a supporter and a cheerleader. It was NOT hard with this group, though, as they are all such fun people to hang with. We all did this for each other, as we each had our dips in energy, but we kept each other bolstered.

I love going caching with these guys, even if I do get teased unmercifully.... *ahem* OK, I admit I'm "slower" when I'm caching by myself... but... I certainly don't slow the team down! :P

I look forward to hearing about future cachers' attempts to break this record! Woohoo!

p.s. Don't tell the VKs that I actually like country music....
