We’ve Got a Publisher!
Ever since our previous publisher begged out of its contract because of financial difficulties a couple of months ago, we’ve been casting around for a company that would publish this book. Today we found one, and it was in our own back yard. It’s Quill Driver Books, a company that specializes in lifestyle titles and books for professional writers. Quill Driver also happens to be the publisher of Paul’s two books, The New Influencers and Secrets of Social Media Marketing.
Our Quill Driver contact admitted that he was initially hesitant about doing a book on geocaching, but once he saw that our proposal focused on telling the stories of enthusiastic cachers and emphasizing the people aspects of the sport, he was sold. He also liked the fact that we’ve interviewed dozens of the world’s top geocachers and are able to synthesize their tips and stories.
We’re planning to deliver the manuscript in the spring with a target publication date of fall, 2009. We’ll be telling you more as we go along. In the meantime, we have new enthusiasm about continuing our research in pursuit of a book that will truly be like no other!

I’m SO thrilled to be a part of it! Thanks for including me. I wonder if they would be interested in another geocaching book, once yours is published. I’m writing one about geocaching with children. I’m studying to be an elementary school teacher, so I plan to use geocaching in my ciriculum too.
