Caching in Puerto Rico Has its Challenges!

We’re in Puerto Rico for a week and slipping some caching into our vacation. We picked up Coffee Break (GCXW58),City Park (GC1662F) and Puente Rio Grande de Loiza (GC1FAF9),which were all fairly easy finds but not necessarily easy to get to. Between the erratic quality of the roads and the general craziness of the drivers,we found that getting there was half the adventure! The landscape is stunning, though. Lush tropical scenery set against a backdrop of ever-changing weather that brings magnificent thundheads over the mountains. We’re staying at the Gran Melia Puerto Rico,a lovely resort set on the east coast of the island.

We were foiled in our efforts to pick up two caches because the parks in which they were located were closed, one of them at 4 p.m. Tip:when hiding a cache in a public park or garden,be sure to give people information on when the attraction closes. Some photos below.
